Camp Erin® Denver2020
September 26, 2020
It is with so much sadness and regret that we let you know that we will not be able to have our traditional overnight weekend camp this year, previously scheduled for August 16 - 18, as we have done for the past six years. We know that so many kids and volunteers were looking forward to camp and we have had to make this very difficult decision in the best interest of everyone’s safety and wellbeing in the midst of Covid-19.
Can sadness and excitement co-exist? Absolutely!!! And we are SO excited to share our alternative plan for Camp Erin Denver 2020 . . .
On Saturday, September 6, 2020, we will be having a virtual half day experience with percussionist, Josh Robinson. Josh will be facilitating two sessions . . . the first session is called “Drum It Out!” when Josh will teach campers how to use drumming as a coping tool, a vehicle for expression and a fun way to connect with others while paying tribute to loved ones. During lunchtime, campers will have the opportunity to break out into their cabin groups for peer support. Following lunch, Josh will help the campers make their own drums. We will be providing all the supplies your camper(s) will need - including a pair of customized drum sticks - at a pick up day currently scheduled for two weeks before camp.
Please take six minutes to watch this video with your camper(s) to get a first hand glimpse of the awesome opportunity Josh will be bringing to the campers of Camp Erin Denver 2020 -

Other activities are in the works for that day including what promises to be a touching and meaningful memorial ceremony. More specifics about our camp experience will be sent out to registered camper families in mid-August, if not sooner.
If you have already submitted a camper application, please let us know if your child(ren) still plan to attend. If you haven’t submitted an application, please do so at your earliest convenience but no later than August 26. We will not be able to accept applications beyond that date. Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional information. We look forward to seeing your children at Camp Erin Denver 2020!!!
