To provide grief support and education to people of all ages who have experienced a childhood death loss to help them recognize their inner strength and foster healing and connection with others.
Our Philosophy
Losing a loved one at any age is challenging and life-changing, but can have an especially significant impact on young people. Working through grief and adapting to loss is vitally important for children and adolescents, since statistics show those living with unresolved grief have a higher risk of developing depression and anxiety as adults. Studies have also shown that children with unresolved grief are at risk of developing difficulties with communication and trust.
While children of different ages grieve differently from one another, they all have the same underlying needs, namely, that:
Their voices are heard,
Their feelings are validated,
Their memories are cherished, and
Their ongoing lives are supported with loving care and compassion.
Why the Dragonfly...
The beauty of light shining through a dragonfly’s shimmering wings reminds us to allow our spirits to be illuminated. By letting in light, we welcome transformation and allow ourselves to realize our dreams.
