Camp Erin® Denver is a free weekend bereavement camp for youth who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Children and teens ages 6 to 17 attend a weekend camp experience that combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Led by bereavement professionals and caring volunteers, campers are provided a safe environment to explore their grief, learn essential coping skills and make friends with peers who are also grieving.

Eluna is a public 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to support children and families impacted by grief or addiction. Founded in 2000 by former MLB pitcher, Jamie Moyer and child advocate, Karen Phelps Moyer, Eluna was originally called The Moyer Foundation and launched a series of programs supporting thousands of children and families annually at no cost to them. Camp Erin is the largest national network of grief programs for bereaved children and teens. Camp Mariposa® is a national addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth impacted by a family member's substance use disorder and The Eluna Resource Center offers online tools, local referrals and personalized phone and email support for families experiencing grief, addiction and other related issues.

How to Get Involved for Camp Erin Denver 2024
You can access the camper and volunteer applications on our website beginning January 15, 2024
Enroll a Camper (ages 6 -17). First year campers are accepted on a first come basis following an interview with a member of the Camp Erin clinical team. Those interviews will be scheduled between mid-May and mid-July. Returning campers will be waitlisted and placed on a first come basis once all first year campers have been placed. The deadline for submitting a camper application is June 28, 2024. We will be unable to accept camper applications beyond that date. Space is limited and we encourage early application.
Become a Volunteer and be a part of an incredible weekend as a Camp Big Buddy or Activity Buddy! The deadline for submitting a volunteer application is June28, 2024. All volunteers are required to undergo a background check each year. In addition, ALL volunteers must attend one of the two trainings. There will be a virtual training on June 11 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm and an in person training on June 29 from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. If you are not able to attend either training, the Volunteer Coordinator can assist your participation via alternative options.
